Aivars Ozolins originally comes from Latvia in northeastern Europe. He's a graduate of Latvia University, Newbold College and Fuller Theological Seminary. He's been part of the Vallejo Drive pastoral staff since 2001. Aivars is currently in charge of the Discipleship and Community Services ministries of the church. You will find him on Wednesday evenings leading out in the discipleship group - In the Flow.  He is involved with visitation of our members through the Parish Nursing group.  Once a month you will see him at Union Station, Pasadena preparing and serving food, along with his ministry team, to the homeless.  Aivars enjoys the chance to reach out and minister to those in need.

Pastor Aivars is also involved in some administrative roles of the Vallejo Drive Church.  He is one of the founders and the Executive Secretary of the Vallejo Drive Church Endowment, an organization created to manage financial assets for the benefit of the church.  Aivars is involved in the day to day running of the corporation and works closely with the Board of Directors.  He also serves as the church's pastoral representative on the LA Metro Region Committee with the Southern California conference of the Seventh-day Adventists.

Aivars is passionate about preaching the Gospel by lifting up Jesus Christ.  He wants to promote a genuine spiritual growth borne out of personal experience with God. He is spending much of his vacation time visiting various countries in Africa and Europe in response to speaking and teaching invitations.  He has taught pastors in Latvia, Kenya and Uganda, taught intensive courses at Bugema University in Uganda, and has been the speaker in camp meetings, weeks of prayer as well as conducted evangelistic meetings.
